I am taking quite a leap here and yet have not proved that William Groves c1698 is of the same line, however, timelines fit and now I am still trying to clarify details. Source: IGI
William Groves born c1698 Hopton Wafers, Shropshire and baptised at St Michael & All Angels, Hopton Wafers. He married Mary Hotchkiss at St Mary’s Cleobury Mortimer, Shropshire 15th October 1723. Whilst I have the year of birth their son William Groves (Shelve) c1728 it seems inconceivable that they did not have at least one maybe two children before William was born.
